Generating Secure Passwords
Password generator is a tool for creating cryptographically secure passwords that will protect your accounts from hacking. Our online generator uses a cryptographically secure algorithm to create random passwords with customizable security parameters.
Why is it important to use a password generator?
Creating secure passwords manually is practically impossible. The human brain tends to create predictable sequences that are easily cracked by brute force attacks. A professional password generator creates cryptographically random character combinations that are impossible to predict.
Password Security Criteria
- Password Length: Minimum 12 characters for personal accounts, 16+ for corporate systems
- Complexity: Combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and special characters
- Uniqueness: Each account should have a unique password
- Regularity: Change passwords every 3-6 months
Password Security Levels
- Very Weak: Less than 8 characters, only one character type - cracked in seconds
- Weak: 8-11 characters, 2 character types - cracked in minutes
- Medium: 8-11 characters, 3+ character types or 12+ characters, 2 types - cracked in hours
- Strong: 12+ characters, 3+ character types - cracked in months
- Very Strong: 16+ characters, all character types - practically uncrackable
Security and Privacy
Our password generator works entirely in your browser. Passwords are generated locally and not transmitted to the server. Password history is stored only in your browser's localStorage and automatically cleared after a certain time. We do not have access to your passwords and do not store them on our servers.
Usage Recommendations
- Use a password manager to store generated passwords
- Enable two-factor authentication wherever possible
- Never use one password for multiple accounts
